LiveKid, a Polish software company that runs the back office of daycare centres and preschools, acquired Aldea, a Monterrey-based provider of software for early childhood education centres in Mexico, Colombia and Chile. The deal was announced on June 24, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Aldea will keep operating under its own brand across Latin America. Co-founder Jorge Dzul will lead operations in Mexico and the wider region, and his fellow co-founder Luis Garza Sada will join LiveKid's board. The Mexican team will be based in Monterrey and work alongside LiveKid's teams in Kraków and Barcelona.
According to Tech.eu, the purchase is LiveKid's second acquisition of 2026. Neither company disclosed Aldea's revenue, headcount or funding history.
What Aldea built
Aldea built software for daycare centres and preschools that covers the same ground as LiveKid's own product: the administrative work of running a centre and the flow of information and payments between centres and parents. LatamList described Aldea's platform as similar to LiveKid's.
The company first built a strong position in northern Mexico, in particular in its home city of Monterrey, before expanding into Colombia and Chile. LiveKid founder Jakub Pawelski said, as reported by Tech.eu, that Aldea had built a strong position in parent payments and centre operations, and he pointed to the team's knowledge of the local market.
Why LiveKid is buying
LiveKid was founded in Poland in 2017 by Pawelski, who is also its chief executive. Its software helps early childhood education centres handle billing, admissions, staff management, meal planning, electronic diaries, parent communication, reporting and payments.
Together with Aldea, LiveKid says it now serves more than 5,000 education centres and over 600,000 parents across Poland, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Peru and Argentina. Its platform processes more than $400 million a year in tuition and other childcare payments.
Buying Aldea gives LiveKid a local team and an installed base in Mexico, a market where Aldea had concentrated its growth, as well as customers in Colombia and Chile. LatamList said the deal expands LiveKid's footprint in Latin America's early childhood education market.
The founders and their new roles
Aldea was founded by Luis Garza Sada and Jorge Dzul. The two founders take different roles after the acquisition. Dzul stays in operations, running the business in Mexico and the rest of Latin America for LiveKid. Garza Sada moves to a governance role as a member of LiveKid's board.
The companies did not say when Aldea was founded, how much outside capital it raised or who its investors were. LiveKid also did not say how the deal was paid for or whether Aldea's investors received cash, shares or both.
What happens to customers
For centres and parents who use Aldea, the visible change is limited for now. The Aldea brand stays in place across the region, and the local team remains in Monterrey under Dzul.
The combined company now has offices in three cities on two continents: Kraków and Barcelona in Europe and Monterrey in Mexico. LiveKid did not publish a timeline for any technical integration between the two platforms or say whether Aldea customers would be moved to LiveKid's software.
Growing by acquisition
LiveKid has added customers through acquisitions in 2026, with the Aldea deal following an earlier purchase this year that was not named in the coverage of this deal. Buying a local provider brings an existing customer base, a team that knows the market and a brand that centres already use. In Aldea's case, LiveKid is keeping both the brand and the local leadership in place.
With Aldea, Mexico, Colombia and Chile join a list of eleven countries where LiveKid now operates, and Spanish-speaking Latin America becomes a larger part of a business that started in Poland in 2017.
