MoonPay, the crypto payments company, said on July 16, 2026 that it had acquired Glide, a startup whose software lets apps accept crypto deposits from any token, wallet, exchange or card. Glide's team, technology and customers became part of MoonPay, and its routing technology is being folded into MoonPay Deposits, the company's funding product for partner apps.

The deal was paid entirely in MoonPay equity, The Block reported. Neither company disclosed its value. According to The Block, talks began in late 2025 and the transaction had closed by the time it was announced.

Glide had four employees, including its two co-founders, and all four joined MoonPay, The Block reported. MoonPay said MoonPay Deposits was already live for partners.

What Glide built

Glide set out to remove a common point of friction in crypto apps: getting money into a wallet in the first place. A user who holds one token on one blockchain often needs a different token on a different chain before an app can use it. Glide's product handles that conversion behind the scenes.

According to MoonPay, Glide's routing layer links any funding source to any destination and picks between an instant relayer and a bridge-and-swap route depending on which is faster and cheaper. Cross-chain transfers, including multi-million-dollar ones, settle through self-custodial escrow smart contracts that can be checked onchain.

MoonPay said Glide processed more than $100 million in annual volume across more than 100 tokens and more than 30 blockchain networks. The Block reported that Glide had more than 50 business customers.

The founders and the funding

Tushar Soni and Qinyu Tong founded Glide in 2023. Before that, according to MoonPay, they led the team that built Robinhood's crypto wallet. Soni served as Glide's chief executive.

Glide went through Y Combinator and was also backed by Titan Fund and other investors that were not named. Soni did not say how much the company had raised, The Block reported.

"We built Glide so users could fund their wallets quickly with the tokens they already have and for apps to streamline their onboarding," Soni said in MoonPay's announcement. He added that joining MoonPay would let the team combine its deposits product with MoonPay's ramps, virtual accounts and swaps.

Why MoonPay is buying

MoonPay described deposits as often being a user's first interaction with a crypto app, and said friction at that step can cost apps users before onboarding is finished. With Glide's routing built in, the company said, apps can give users one path to fund a wallet with whatever token or payment method they already hold.

The purchase fits a strategy MoonPay described as owning the whole funding stack, from onramps and virtual accounts to swaps and now deposits, so that partners connect to one system instead of several. Pulse 2.0 reported that MoonPay Deposits already powered funding flows for Wallet in Telegram, Moonshot and Paysafe.

"Glide has built some of the best deposit technology in the market," said Ivan Soto-Wright, MoonPay's co-founder and chief executive. He said bringing the team in would speed up the company's deposits strategy.

A busy year of deals for MoonPay

Glide was the sixth acquisition MoonPay announced in 2026, according to The Block and Pulse 2.0. The earlier deals were Sodot, a key management company whose technology became the basis of MoonPay Institutional; Decent and DFlow, which became MoonPay Trade; Entendre, which builds AI accounting agents; and Dawn Labs, which works on AI-native trading infrastructure.

MoonPay raised a $555 million Series A in 2021 at a $3.4 billion valuation, The Block reported, and later secured a $200 million revolving credit line from Galaxy. The company reported that it ended 2024 cash-flow positive and profitable.

The run of purchases has taken MoonPay well beyond its original business of letting consumers buy and sell crypto with cards and bank transfers. With Glide, the company now offers partners onramps, virtual accounts, swaps and deposits under one roof, which MoonPay said was the point of the strategy.
