ZoomInfo, the Nasdaq-listed provider of business contact data and go-to-market software, said on September 30, 2026, that it had acquired DoubleO.ai, a startup that coordinates multiple AI agents so they can carry out longer business workflows. The announcement was made through Business Wire from ZoomInfo's base in Boston.
Financial terms were not disclosed. ZoomInfo did not give a price, a valuation or any revenue figures for DoubleO.ai.
ZoomInfo said DoubleO.ai's orchestration layer would be combined with its own data on companies, contacts and buying signals so that agents can carry a sales or marketing process from the first signal through to outreach. DoubleO.ai's co-founders, chief executive Derek Osgood and chief technology officer Karthik Suresh, both commented on the deal as part of the announcement.
What DoubleO.ai built
DoubleO.ai describes itself as an agentic orchestration platform: software that lets several AI agents share context and hand work to each other in a defined sequence. According to the release, its technology already runs go-to-market workflows at Fortune 500 companies and at fast-growing software firms, though no customers were named.
Two examples were given. In champion tracking, when a known supporter of a product moves to a new employer, agents check whether that company is a customer or fits the target profile, map who else is involved in buying, and contact the person based on their past history with the seller. In the second, a closed deal is turned into new pipeline: agents review the sales cycle, draft a case study, identify ten similar companies that are not yet customers and send each one tailored messages.
The problem DoubleO.ai set out to solve, according to ZoomInfo, is that agents asked to do more than answer a question often invent information or perform the same task differently on each run. Osgood said in the release that agents needing constant human supervision deliver perhaps a 20% improvement, while workflows that run reliably are where he sees tenfold gains. Those figures are his own estimates.
“Every revenue leader has seen an AI agent demo. Almost none have seen it actually run a real GTM motion end-to-end.”
The founders
Osgood and Suresh are second-time founders. In 2021 they started Ignition, a go-to-market operations platform that helped companies take new products from research and launch planning through to sales enablement. Ignition was later acquired by Klue, a competitive intelligence company.
After large language models arrived, the pair built early AI agents for tasks such as analysing customer feedback, but found that those agents could not share context or cooperate. They founded DoubleO.ai in 2024 to build a multi-agent system aimed at enterprise work.
No funding rounds or investors for DoubleO.ai were disclosed in the announcement, and a headcount was not given.
Why ZoomInfo is buying
ZoomInfo says its data covers more than 100 million companies, 500 million contacts and billions of signals, which it organises in what it calls the GTM Context Graph. Founder and chief executive Henry Schuck argued that most revenue leaders have seen agent demonstrations but few have seen one complete a real sales motion from start to finish.
Suresh said agents need trusted context about every account and contact to work, and that joining ZoomInfo would let DoubleO.ai's technology serve revenue teams at a scale the startup could not have reached alone. Osgood said ZoomInfo's data was the one thing he had wanted while building the product.
What happens next
The release did not say whether DoubleO.ai would continue to be sold as a separate product or what would happen to its staff. In a follow-up announcement, ZoomInfo introduced a feature called Agent Teams that it said was powered by the DoubleO.ai acquisition, according to listings of ZoomInfo news on Finviz.
A separate Business Wire headline listed on Finviz on October 3 said ZoomInfo was shipping Agent Teams inside its existing platform with no new fee.
