Indiyanet was barely two years old when 91trucks bought it, yet it said its two commercial vehicle discovery sites already ranked among the top three in India by traffic and volume.

91trucks, a Gurugram-based platform for buying and researching commercial vehicles, acquired Indiyanet, a Bhubaneswar company that runs the vehicle discovery websites Motorfloor and Trucksfloor. Entrackr reported the deal on March 25, 2026, and Entrepreneur India covered it the following day.

Terms were not disclosed. Neither company gave a price, and the reports did not say whether the deal was paid in cash, shares or a mix of both.

Indiyanet founder Subrat Kar announced the deal on LinkedIn, writing that Trucksfloor and Motorfloor were now part of 91trucks. He said the combination would let the two businesses pool their strengths, widen their reach and build a stronger platform for commercial vehicle buyers and sellers.

What Indiyanet built

Kar founded Indiyanet in 2024. Its two sites are research tools for people shopping for commercial vehicles. They list specifications, features, photos and on-road prices, so a buyer can compare models before visiting a dealer.

According to a January 2025 report in MediaNews4U, Indiyanet made money by charging vehicle makers and dealers for sales leads, and planned to add services that would let users complete transactions on the platform. At that time it had a team of 25 people in Bhubaneswar and said it wanted to become a leading internet company in automotive and mobility for audiences in India's smaller cities.

The company said that within two years of launch its platforms were among the top three in India in their category by traffic and volume. It did not publish the underlying figures, and the claim could not be checked independently.

Why 91trucks is buying

91trucks was founded in 2022 and offers information, reviews and listings for trucks, buses and three-wheelers. It also connects buyers with dealers and helps arrange financing. The company has said it is building a full-stack platform covering discovery, financing, insurance and services for vehicle owners.

Adding Motorfloor and Trucksfloor gives 91trucks two more content sites and the audience that comes with them. Reports on the deal said Motorfloor's database and user base were expected to strengthen 91trucks in segments such as tractors and three-wheelers. Entrackr described the deal as a sign of consolidation among India's digital commercial vehicle platforms.

91trucks did not say whether the Motorfloor and Trucksfloor brands would continue to run as separate sites, or what roles Kar and the Indiyanet team would take.

The founders and the funding

This is not Kar's first exit. He previously founded Vidooly, a video analytics startup that was backed by investors including Alibaba, Times Internet, Bessemer Venture Partners and Gujarat Venture Finance. Good Glamm Group acquired Vidooly in 2022.

Indiyanet raised a pre-seed round in January 2025 from PointOne Capital and a group of angel investors. The amount was not disclosed. Ravish Ratnam, managing partner at PointOne Capital, said at the time that Kar and his team were well placed to take advantage of the opportunity in the market.

91trucks is led by co-founder Siddharth Sharma. In May 2025 it raised about $5 million in a Series A round led by Arkam Ventures, with Titan Capital, Sparrow Capital and Atrium Angels also taking part. Entrackr reported that the round valued the company at about $33 million.

A crowded market for vehicle discovery

Both companies earn money by connecting buyers of trucks, buses and three-wheelers with the manufacturers, dealers and lenders that want to reach them. Indiyanet charged makers and dealers for leads, and 91trucks pairs its listings with dealer connections and financing support. Indiyanet had also planned to extend its sites into regional markets and into new mobility categories, according to the January 2025 report on its pre-seed round.

By buying a younger rival with its own audience, 91trucks takes one competitor out of that race and adds traffic it can direct towards its financing and dealer services. Entrackr said it had contacted Kar and Sharma for further details about the transaction.
